The booming Novacyt share price helped the Octopous UK Micro Cap Growth fund exceed its benchmarks after Novacyt gained 76 percent in September.
The fund itself posted an overall gain of 0.62% during September against a fall of 1.8% for the Numis Smaller Companies Plus AIM benchmark.
Novacyt itself makes up the third largest holding in the £47m fund with a 3.1% weighting. Citing ‘another stunning performance’ from Novacyt, here were the main winners and losers in the fund last month:

During 2020, the fund itself has posted a 20% return. However early investors in Novacyt would scoff at this return as they will have enjoyed a return of over 6500%.
