Investing in a crisis - biggest lesson learned?

Don't say none! I've learned a lot about investing in the recent crisis. My biggest mistake was probably expecting a few investments to rocket like SNG did and they haven't.

My biggest lesson is that timing is key if you're trying to make a quick profit but if you invest and believe in a company, then stay invested.

What have you learned?

Yup - the days of spectacular risers seem to have settled down now.

Sometimes selling at a loss can actually be a win is probably the best lesson for me.

Buying at a peak as things are volatile right now it can be unsettling. Trouble is knowing when the peak actually is.

Go for a good solid defensive fund but bet on some individual shares too!
